Board estimates income of Rs 191 crore in the upcoming financial year

Dainik Himachal news:- Presiding over the 44th meeting of Himachal Pradesh Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board, Chief Minister Thakur Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu said that the board has an estimated income of Rs 191 crore for the financial year 2024-25. Of this, Rs 143.16 crore will be spent through various welfare schemes run by the board.
He said that Rs 30 crore will be spent on the Chief Minister Widow/Single/Destitute/Disabled Housing Scheme. Under the scheme, the state government has decided to provide financial assistance of Rs 3 lakh for construction of houses to those with annual income less than Rs 2.50 lakh so that they can also lead a respectable life. He said that apart from this, additional assistance of Rs 1 lakh will also be given for the construction of toilets and kitchens.
Thakur Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu said that the present state government is providing their rights to the needy, poor and deprived sections. It has been decided to bring 1.5 lakh workers, Asha workers, Anganwadi workers and helpers registered under Himachal Pradesh Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board under Ayushman Bharat Scheme.
The Chief Minister directed to digitize all the data of the Board so that people can take maximum advantage of technology and the functioning of the Board can be further improved. He said that workers can also get themselves registered through Lokmitra Kendras.
Non-official and official members of Himachal Pradesh Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board, Secretaries Abhishek Jain and M. Sudha Devi, Secretary Law Sharad Kumar Lagwal and Chief Executive Officer Himachal Pradesh Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board Rajeev Kumar were also present in the meeting. .
